15 Years of Camp 1:27
2026 is already moving quickly, and that means we are deep in preparation for another summer of Camp 1:27 at Raleigh’s Place.
This summer will mark our 15th year of welcoming foster and adopted children to campus for a week designed just for them. Over the years, we have simplified our mission for Camp 1:27 into two clear goals:
- Introduce every camper to Christ
- Give every camper one of the best weeks of their lives
Each summer, we watch the Lord faithfully accomplish both.
Camp 1:27 provides a safe, joy-filled environment where children who have experienced instability, trauma, and loss are surrounded by caring adults, meaningful friendships, and the hope of the gospel.
A Life-Changing Experience
One of our camp counselors shared this reflection after serving:
“The experience was incredibly impactful and is something I will carry with me for the rest of my life. The time I spent with the campers and the positive changes I witnessed in their lives were truly inspiring. It was a life-changing experience seeing how the Lord opened my eyes to my own weaknesses and showed me that He wants His children to rely on Him for strength. This camp showed me what true love looks like.”
Stories like this remind us that Camp 1:27 changes lives—not only for campers, but for those who serve them.
Sponsor a Camper for Camp 1:27
Many of the children who attend Camp 1:27 come from families who cannot afford the full cost of camp. Your generosity ensures that every child has the opportunity to experience this life-changing week.
When you sponsor a camper, you help provide:
- Safe housing and meals
- Camp activities and recreation
- Gospel-centered teaching and discipleship
- Mentorship from trained Christian counselors
Your support helps a child hear the gospel, build friendships, and experience the joy of camp in a way many have never experienced before.
Serve as a Camp Counselor
Camp 1:27 would not be possible without dedicated staff members who invest in the lives of campers.
We are currently recruiting Christian men and women who are passionate about serving foster and adopted children.
If you love Christ and want to make an eternal impact, serving at Camp 1:27 may be one of the most meaningful weeks of your year.
Camp staff help with:
- Leading cabin groups
- Encouraging and mentoring campers
- Facilitating activities and worship
- Creating a safe and supportive environment
Pray for Camp 1:27
