Camp 1:27 is a free Christ-centered summer camp for children and teenagers connected to foster care. Campers spend the week making friends, trying new activities, building relationships with caring adults, and hearing the hope of the Gospel.
Camp should feel like camp.
For one week, campers get to step away from everyday routines and simply enjoy being kids.
Days are filled with outdoor activities, swimming, games, friendships, laughter, worship, Bible study, and plenty of opportunities to try something new.
There is always something happening.
Campers stay with us from Sunday through Friday and experience a traditional summer-camp week built around fun, relationships, belonging, and faith.
Swimming
Cool off, play, and spend time with friends in our swimming areas.
Archery & Adventure
Try activities that challenge campers, build confidence, and create memorable experiences.
Games & Recreation
Field games, team challenges, Gaga Ball, and other activities keep camp moving throughout the week.
Arts & Creativity
Campers have opportunities to slow down, create, and express themselves.
Friendships
Campers spend the week alongside other children who may understand parts of their foster-care experience.
Faith & Worship
Daily Bible study, chapel, worship, prayer, and small-group conversations point campers toward the hope found in Jesus Christ.
Camp 1:27 serves children connected to foster care.
Camp is designed for children and teenagers who are currently in foster care, have been adopted, or are living in a relative or kinship placement.
Eligible campers may attend Camp 1:27 at no cost to their families.
Camper Eligibility
- Foster children
- Adopted children
- Children in relative or kinship placements
- Ages 6–18
- Six-year-olds must have completed first grade
Campers attend with others close to their age.
Camp weeks are organized by age and grade so activities, discussions, and the overall camp experience can be appropriate for each group.
Grades 2–5
An energetic week built around play, friendships, exploration, encouragement, and age-appropriate Biblical teaching.
Grades 6–8
Activities and relationships designed for campers navigating the important middle-school years.
Grades 9–12
A camp experience that combines fun with deeper relationships, meaningful conversations, and opportunities for spiritual growth.

We want campers to leave with memories, friendships, confidence, and a sense that they were deeply valued.
Belonging matters.
Children connected to foster care can carry experiences of instability, loss, and transition. At Camp 1:27, we want every camper to know that they are welcomed, valued, and worthy of care.
Counselors and staff work intentionally to build healthy relationships, provide appropriate supervision, create consistent structure, and make camp a place where children can relax and enjoy being kids.
A great week for campers can also mean a week of rest for families.
Camp 1:27 was created for children, but we know that foster, adoptive, and kinship parents pour an enormous amount of energy into caring for their families.
While campers enjoy a week at camp, caregivers have an opportunity to rest, spend time with other children, catch up on responsibilities, or simply breathe.
