Our faith shapes both what we believe and how we serve.
Raleigh’s Place is a Christian nonprofit ministry. Our mission, programs, leadership, and service are grounded in the historic Christian faith and guided by the truth of Scripture.
Christian faith is not simply part of our history.
It shapes why we serve, how we serve, and the hope we seek to share with children, families, and young adults navigating foster care.
We believe the Gospel should be proclaimed faithfully and the love of Christ should also be demonstrated through tangible acts of mercy, protection, encouragement, hospitality, and service.
The beliefs that guide our ministry.
These convictions form the theological foundation for Raleigh’s Place and shape our governance, programs, partnerships, discipleship, and care for vulnerable children and families.
The Bible
We believe the Holy Bible to be the inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God. Scripture is the final authority for our faith, doctrine, conduct, and ministry.
The Triune God
We believe in one true and living God, eternally existing in three Persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—equal in glory and worthy of all worship and obedience.
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, that He lived without sin, died in the place of sinners, rose bodily from the dead, reigns as Lord, and will return in glory.
Humanity & Sin
We believe every person is created in the image of God and possesses inherent dignity and worth, yet all humanity is fallen in sin and in need of reconciliation with God.
Salvation
We believe salvation is by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ, not by human merit or good works, and that those who trust in Christ are forgiven, reconciled to God, and given new life.
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit gives spiritual life, dwells within believers, produces Christlike character, and equips God’s people for faithful service.
The Church
We believe the Church is the people of God, called to worship Christ, make disciples, proclaim the Gospel, love one another, and demonstrate the compassion of Christ in the world.
Christian Hope
We believe Jesus Christ will return, the dead will be raised, God will judge with perfect justice, and His redeemed people will dwell with Him forever in the fullness of His kingdom.
The Gospel changes how we see people.
Every child, parent, caregiver, and young adult we encounter bears the image of God and should be treated with dignity, compassion, patience, and love.
We believe caring for vulnerable children and families is a biblical calling of the people of God. That conviction moves us toward practical service—not away from it.
Our faith calls us to meet real needs, build lasting relationships, speak truth with grace, and point people toward the hope found in Jesus Christ.
Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.
We seek to live what we believe.
Raleigh’s Place expresses its Christian mission through both Gospel proclamation and practical care.
We Strengthen Families
By surrounding foster, adoptive, and kinship families with practical support, community, and encouragement.
We Encourage Children
By creating safe, joyful environments where children are known, valued, loved, and introduced to the hope of Christ.
We Equip Young Adults
By providing housing, life skills, mentoring, discipleship, and consistent relationships during the transition to adulthood.
We Engage the Community
By inviting churches, businesses, volunteers, donors, and neighbors to participate in caring for vulnerable children and families.
Living the Gospel by Loving the Fatherless.
Raleigh’s Place is intentionally and unapologetically Christian. Our faith identity is not separate from our charitable work—it is the foundation that gives our work its purpose and direction.
At the same time, we seek to serve children and families with compassion, dignity, hospitality, and respect, recognizing the worth of every person who comes through our doors.
Our beliefs shape our mission. Our mission moves us to serve.
Raleigh’s Place exists to live the Gospel by loving the fatherless—surrounding children and families navigating foster care with Christ-centered support from childhood into adulthood.
