For fifteen summers, Camp 1:27 has offered children and teenagers connected to foster care a safe place to laugh, grow, build relationships, and hear the good news that they are known and loved by God.
This summer, 69 campers came through the gates of Raleigh’s Place over the course of two weeks. Some returned to a place that already felt familiar; others arrived nervous and unsure of what to expect. By the end of each week, friendships had formed, counselors had become trusted mentors, and campers had created memories we pray will last for years.
Campers enjoyed games, activities, time outdoors, worship, chapel, and meaningful conversations. More importantly, every camper heard that their circumstances do not define them. Their lives have value. Their stories are not over. There is hope, purpose, and belonging in Jesus Christ.
