Workmanship Initiative helps young adults transitioning from foster care build a strong foundation for adulthood through safe housing, employment preparation, education, transportation, financial skills, mentoring, discipleship, and consistent relationships.

Our Story

Born from loss. Built around hope.

Raleigh’s Place began with one family’s grief and a calling found in James 1:27. After Tim and Sharon King lost their daughter Raleigh shortly before her twelfth birthday, God used their loss to draw their family toward children experiencing profound loss of their own.

What began with one family’s decision to foster has grown into a ministry serving children, strengthening families, preparing young adults for adulthood, and inviting the Church and community to become part of the foster care story.
